The History Of Our Past And Present
Wayne Howe
In 1919, John Howe recognized the need for all-wheel drive trucks and established Howe Brothers in Troy, N.Y. to produce all-wheel drive trucks. During this period, Howe Brothers provided quality standard and custom-made all-wheel drive vehicles for major corporations such as General Electric, New York State Transportation Department, Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation, United States Army and Con Edison and many more corporations.
As more and more localities recognized the durability and dependability of the Howe all-wheel drive systems, winter travel became easier in Upstate New York and New England. Shortly thereafter, Howe Brothers Inc. expanded, custom building trucks and buses and offering conversions to all types of specialized vehicles.
Today, Howe Brother, Inc. is full distributor of many brands, and are expert installers of truck equipment and trailers and repairs. For the brands that Howe Brother carries see Howe Brothers Brands.
